One of the best ways to stay informed during your busy day is to listen to holistic health podcasts. I love listening to podcasts when I'm driving, walking, working out, cooking, and making art. These podcasts will keep your body and mind in shape.
This post is all about the best holistic health podcasts.
Holistic Health Podcasts:
1. The Audible Guide to Needless Sorrow

Cara Hartley created this podcast while working on her second book The Illustrated Guide to Needless Sorrow as an audible version of her thoughts and advice about mental health.
You can purchase her first book here (it's hilarious and will inspire you to quit your terrible job).
This health podcast is for you if you want to learn more about your emotions, triggers, traumas, fears, and overall how to have a healthier, happier, and balanced life. You can find topics like anxiety, automatic negative thoughts, limiting beliefs, fear and intuition, shadow work, affirmations, and manifestation. Cara shares her journey with healing her depression and anxiety using shadow work, exercise, and positive affirmations. Because of her experience using these techniques, she is passionate about teaching others how to utilize them.
2. The Mikhaila Peterson Podcast

Mikhaila Peterson has had a crazy life. If you've never heard of her, I suggest you watch her interview on the Joe Rogan Podcast with an open mind.
After dealing with a huge amount of health issues from an extremely young age, she was able to solve all of them by switching to an all meat diet (the lion diet). And now she helps people solve a wide array of illnesses and weight problems. This health podcast isn't just about diet and nutrition. Other topics that she covers include politics, psychedelics, personality traits, music, climate change, abortion, bitcoin, gun rights, acting, relationships, and covid. It's one of my favorite podcasts and has a wide variety of guests on it.
3. Wise Traditions

This health podcast is like my bible.
Created by the Weston A. Price Foundation, their motto is "for wise traditions in food, farming, and the healing arts." Checkout their website for more information and to become a member. You can also find full transcripts of podcast episodes on their website if, like me, sometimes you prefer to read instead of listen.
Holistic Hilda, the host, does a fantastic job of moderating and exploring sometimes complex topics. She and her guests advocate for real food: raw dairy, organic fruits and vegetables, grass-fed meats and organ meats, and nuts, seeds, and legumes.
They advise avoiding ultra inflammatory and processed foods like industrial seed oils, pasteurized and fat-free dairy products, processed snack and fast foods, low-quality meats, and non-organic produce that may contain pesticides.
This podcast teaches you how to return to the diet that our ancestors used as medicine. And these are some examples of what that lifestyle looks like:
- eating nose to tail to get the full range of nutrients we need from organs like liver, heart, and bone broth.
- choosing organic over non organic whenever possible to support organic farmers and avoid poisoning ourselves and future generations.
- eating raw, non-pasteurized dairy to heal allergies and other ailments, and end the myth that many people are lactose-intolerant. Those who are lactose intolerant are likely able to handle raw dairy, because the lactase (the enzyme that helps digest the lactose) is still intact and not destroyed by the pasteurization process.
- considering the effect it would have on the current and future generations of humans to support regenerative agriculture and redevelop the lost nutrients in our soil and crops.
- believing and living the motto "you are what you eat" and shining light on the connection between modern diseases and the modern diet.
4. What's the Juice

Organic Olivia is an herbalist with a passion for educating people on nutrition, traditional medicine, and the science of using herbs to heal.
She was vegan as a teenager but healed her gut issues and all the symptoms with it through a paleo diet. As a result, she is knowledgable and passionate about helping others.
Olivia has a whole line of products you can purchase on her website. These include probiotics, digestive enzymes and herbs to support liver detox, ridding the body of parasites, strengthening hair and skin, and much more.
If you struggle with acne she has a video here that provides a thorough scientific and holistic understanding of the underlying reasons for skin issues and what we can do to improve our internal and external symptoms.
This health podcast is a great resource for those wanting to understand their bodies better and heal themselves.
5. The Ultimate Health Podcast

This podcast really is the ULTIMATE health podcast.
With nearly 450 episodes, I don't think you could pick a topic that they haven't covered. I have learned so much from the hosts, a true power couple if there ever was one. They do an amazing job of hosting and steering the conversation, asking the right questions, and explaining complicated topics. They are open to discussing almost anything.
It's important to keep an open mind when listening to health podcasts. You never know when a totally "out there" idea that you originally thought sounded crazy becomes a healing modality for your body or mind. When it comes to health and natural remedies, you might be surprised what your body responds to and what might change your life. It's easy in this day and age of cancel culture to dismiss an idea if you don't understand it. However, even if it turns out to be wrong, I encourage you to consider new ideas and respect others' perspectives.
Everyone is different; one thing that is a miracle cure for you might cause negative side effects for another, and vice versa.
