These are the best thoughtful gifts for moms and grandmas.
Perfect for mother's day, birthdays, or just random gifts to make sure your mom and grandmas know you love them.
Whether you are looking for a cheaper or more expensive present, something handmade and small batch or something from Amazon, this list has you covered.
Gifts for Moms and Grandmas:
1. Sheepskin Rug
Few things will make you feel more pampered than an ultra soft and fluffy sheepskin rug.
I remember we had a few of these around the house when I was little and they were the best.
My mom got one for her granddaughter and she absolutely ADORES it.
Trust me, if you buy your mom and your grandma a sheepskin rug, it will be their new favorite rug and will make them feel so loved.
2. Stella Chroma All Natural Nail Polish
Ever since my mom found this all natural, small-batch nail polish company, she and my sisters and I have been OBSESSED.
Stella Chroma makes the most beautiful, unique colors of nail polish you will ever find.
The best part? This nail polish is toxin and cruelty free, unlike most of the nail polish on the market. You don't want your gifts for moms and grandmas to poison them, right?!
3. Unreal Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups
These "healthy" peanut butter cups really are unreal.
I think they're better than Reese's, which is saying a lot because Reese's are my favorite candy bar. But these are so much healthier and they're fair trade.
You can find the Unreal brand at most grocery stores now or buy them in bulk online (trust me, they won't last long!!). Also try the dark chocolate coconut bars!
Healthier chocolate treats are the perfect gifts for moms and grandmas.
4. Tallow Balm
I love the Tallow company.
This company is native to Indianapolis, Indiana, my home state.
Their products are organic, sustainable, and humanely sourced from grazing cattle.
Your mom and grandma will love their magnesium balm (perfect for people who get foot cramps), hair serum, lip balm, soap, or try their delicious immune-boosting elderberry syrup.
5. Foxprint Pictures
Foxprint does really high quality prints!
I order the cute 3 by 3 border prints for my family members several times times a year. They are only 50 cents per photo (sometimes less during sales)!
My sister has hers taped in her hallway, my grandma hung hers on her fridge, and my mom strung them from a string with tiny clothespins.
You can order multiple sizes of pictures as well as magnets, stickers, canvas, posters, and photo books.
6. Personalized Mug
This past Christmas, I bought all my family members mugs with pictures of my niece and nephews on them. They were a hit!
It's such a cute addition to have in a kitchen.
I bought mine from Shutterfly, but there are lots of options that I'll link on the buttons below.
You could also probably find a local shop to do them if you live in a big enough city.
Personalized mugs are the perfect gifts for moms and grandmas!
7. Slippers
We can't let our moms and grandmas have cold feet!
Whenever someone gifts me nice warm high quality slippers, I feel so comforted and fancy. Which is funny because slippers are pretty simple gifts, but it's the little things that count.
My mom bought me the Fireside by Dearfoams shearling slippers and I LOVE THEM. They are so soft and lightweight.
L.L. Bean also makes great slippers and has a 1 year warranty (sadly they used to have a lifetime warranty but since people were abusing it, that policy was discontinued). If you're looking for a slipper with a harder sole, I would go with L.L. Bean.
8. Blue Light Blocking Glasses
If your mom or grandma are the type to look at screens throughout their day, especially at night, consider buying them a pair of blue light blocking glasses.
A high quality pair of these glasses will protect their eyes from damaging screens and improve their sleep.
I use the Swanwick classic night glasses. Not only do I feel like a spy when wearing them (they are tinted red) I do believe they help me have better sleep.
9. Super Soft Blanket
Don't ever underestimate the power of a super soft blanket.
Also, you can never have too many blankets in a house. Blankets are the perfect gifts for anyone, anytime.
Costco has good deals on blankets especially around in the colder months. This blanket on Amazon has great reviews, I will link it on the button below!
10. Crochet Baskets
You can find tons of handmade crochet baskets on Etsy.
These are perfect for putting together a gift basket for mom and grandma that they can repurpose into their household afterwards.
My mom had a bunch of cute and elegant crochet baskets that she used around our house growing up. They add such a nice touch to a space.
Fill them with tea, beauty products, winter accessories, art supplies, etc.
11. Bath Products
One idea for a gift basket (that you could use the crochet baskets for!!) would be bath products.
My favorites would be:
chocolates or their favorite sweet treat
I would personally love getting a gift basket full of these products!
12. Robe
If your mom or grandma doesn't already have a nice cozy robe, this would be the perfect gift for them!
I recommend two types: cotton and silk. Silk is great for a hot summer day when you still want something between a towel and actual clothes. Cotton is a go-to for cozying up after your shower or bath, especially in winter.
This silk kimono robe is so beautiful and elegant. It's also long enough that you still feel covered when wearing it.
13. Poncho
Ok I have been CONVERTED to the poncho lifestyle. After we all got them for Christmas this past season, I am in love with ponchos. It's like wearing a blanket!
Click on the buttons below for some favorites that I know your mom and grandma will love.
14. Paint Party
I love gifting people experiences instead of products. Paint parties are so fun and such a great way to bond over art, if you don't have the means to create at home.
This would be so fun to do with mom, grandma, and all the ladies in the family for a birthday or mother's day.
Your paintings that you take home will be a great memory of the experience.
15. Art Supplies
My recommendations:
Alcohol inks are a medium that come in a dropper that you can combine with rubbing alcohol to create a really cool effect. You can use it on any non-porous surface like light switch covers (see photo below), tiles, or certain types of paper. Alcohol inks are a great art form for people who don't want to dedicate time and focus into a painting.

2. Sketch pad and pens.
This is basic, but you can never have too many sketch pads and drawing pens. I like this for a gift too because, if they choose not to create art with it, they can still use this for a nice high quality journal. I actually love using these for journals because I like a mixture of doodles and writing in my journals. Also, who doesn't love a nice quality set of pens?!
This is such a rad idea for a gift. You can send in any picture and have them paint it by numbers. Perfect for someone who isn't too familiar with painting but who wants a challenge. This would be fun to do together, too!
16. Birth Stone Jewelry
Jewelry is always a great gift idea, but even sweeter with that person's birth stone.
Also, these birth month flower necklaces made with REAL flowers are SO. CUTE.
Aren't moms the best?!
These gifts for moms and grandmas will brighten their days and show them that you love them. They do so much for us, they deserve the world.
This list has you covered.
